From February 3, 2026, to February 4, 2026
At the initiative of the Flex-Mediation consortium, a program under the PEPR TASE, a workshop focusing on the systemic effects and controversies surrounding the widespread adoption of renewable energy will be held on February 3 and 4.
As the share of intermittent renewable energy in the global electricity mix grows at a steady pace, its deployment raises significant economic, technical, social, environmental, and regional challenges. Between large-scale industrial projects, local initiatives, market dynamics, and citizen engagement, this transition calls for an interdisciplinary approach.
This conference will feature:
- An overview of the effects already observed
- A look at emerging controversies
- A Look at Research Priorities
- A collective reflection to anticipate tensions and better understand the systemic changes ahead
This event is part of the PEPR TASE initiative and is aimed at French-speaking social science researchers as well as researchers working on the design of technical systems.
