The scientific outputs of the CERM project (Amorçage 2025) presented internationally

February 13, 2026

As part of the seed project CERM, funded by LabEx Energyalps, several research projects were presented in 2025 at leading international scientific conferences.

🔹 Energy communities and peer-to-peer exchanges

Presented at the International Energy Workshop in Grenoble in June 2025, this presentation examines energy exchange models within energy communities. Using an optimization model, various configurations (peer-to-peer exchanges, battery storage, centralized management) are compared.

The results show that:

  • storage significantly improves the well-being of the community,

  • Centralized coordination promotes internal communication,

  • Market mechanisms have a significant influence on the distribution of gains among members.

This research sheds light on the economic conditions necessary for the effective development of local energy markets.

🔹 Intermittency of renewable energy sources and market prices in France

Presented at the 46th IAEE International Conference in Paris in June 2025, this study examines the effects of the intermittency and uncertainty of wind and solar power generation on electricity prices in France (2015–2018).

The results confirm:

  • a negative correlation between renewable energy production and prices,

  • an amplified effect in the presence of uncertainty,

  • a stabilizing role for the French power grid and energy mix.

These analyses provide essential insights for anticipating the impacts of the growing use of renewable energy
