On September 29 and 30, 2025, the Institut Néel organized the first workshop on gallium oxide and related materials, thanks in part to financial support from LabEx EnergyAlps.

The first workshop dedicated to gallium oxide (Ga₂O₃) and related materials was successfully held at the CNRS facilities in Grenoble. The event brought together more than 60 researchers from 14 laboratories and 3 companies to discuss recent advances in this rapidly growing field.

The program featured 25 oral presentations that provided an overview of the latest innovations related to gallium oxide and its applications. The discussions involved teams from, among others, the Néel Institute (CNRS), the LMGP, CEA-Irig, CEA-Leti, LTMLab,IEMN,INL-CNRS, the Ampère Laboratory, the Multimaterials and Interfaces Laboratory, GEMAC, the Irradiated Solids Laboratory (École Polytechnique), the Production Engineering Laboratory (UTTOP, University of Technology Tarbes Occitanie Pyrénées), as well as GREMAN (University of Tours).
Three companies— Nanovation, Schneider Electric, and SOITEC —also took part in these discussions.

This event was made possible by the CNRS andthe Néel Institute, with financial support fromUniversité Grenoble Alpes through the LabEx EnergyAlps, MateriAlps, andthe PowerAlps Institute.

See you next year in Paris for the second edition of the workshop!
